The meaning of Gharat is a type of traditionally used hydraulic machine (water mill) which is used for grinding wheat etc. Here in olden times 20 to 25 gharats were in existence, now the trend of gharats has been reduced. In ancient times, it was the summer capital of the rulers of the former Bushehr Kingdom.
